World human rights day commemoration on December 2023
NWADO Joint other human rights actors in the region at the Cameroon Human rights Commission office North West to commemorate World human rights day under the theme “Freedom, Equality and Justice for all. This was also a moment of reflection on our individual and collective human rights work. It should be noted that since the outbreak of the crises in the English speaking regions of Cameroon, NWADO intensified community based human rights monitoring. Through the training and equipping of grassroots human rights monitors we are able to reach isolated rural communities to cover untold human interest stories. Our Citizens Voices Television is a social media platform where we have continued to raises awareness, educated and advocate for better protection of human rights within the conflict context. We have mobilized cultural entrepreneurs to use their creative work of arts to advocate for projection of human rights and have launched petitions against abuse of rights of civilians and civilian objects.
